17-year old Elia SCHMID clinched his first title. In the final he won 4:2 against his teammate Lionel WEBER (same age!).

SCHMID said: “Before the final I thought it would be 50:50 chances. Several times we played against each other at junior championships. Sometimes Lionel won sometimes it was me.“ The organising club Rio-Star Muttenz was very happy to see two of its youngsters in the final.

Rachel MORET was very happy after the championship; she took the gold medal in singles double and mixed. Therefore she repeated her success from 2012. The 24-year old will spent another year playing as a professional player in the French league for EP Isséenne.
