SCRUTON appointed as new ETTU Secretary-General

At today’s European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) Executive Board meeting in Bratislava Mr Richard SCRUTON has been appointed as new ETTU Secretary-General/Executive Officer. His duty in the office will start on January 1st 2014 and last until December 31st

At today’s European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) Executive Board meeting in Bratislava Mr Richard SCRUTON has been appointed as new ETTU Secretary-General/Executive Officer. His duty in the office will start on January 1st 2014 and last until December 31st 2016.

In this position Mr SCRUTON will succeed long time ETTU General Secretary Jeanny DOM.

Mr SCRUTON worked for two major UK financial services providers within sales and marketing. His experience as London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games table tennis manager highly recommended him. Mr SCRUTON is a Board member in English Table Tennis Association and he was engaged as chief referee of the European Youth Championships on five occasions from 2000 to 2004.

His vast experience his international network and his professional enthusiasm gives us the confidence that with him we will soon get ETTU back on track. With Pierre KASS as deputy they will make a perfect team to build on our future ” stated ETTU-President Ronald KRAMER.

New Secretary-General will be predominantly based in Luxembourg.

I hope my past international administrative and events experience will enable closer cooperation and good relations with the International Table Tennis Federation to be secured ” said ETTU Secretary-General SCRUTON
