Women European Champions League`s Round 5 is coming this weekend with four games in two groups. In Group A called “The Group of Death” everything is possible while in Group B reigning champion Linz AG Froschberg (4-0 score) already booked semi final ticket and Zamek Tarnobrzeg (3-1) is very close to achieve the same. Both Group A games will be live broadcasted on LAOLA1.tv.

Leading club of Group A the 2012 WECL champion Berlin Eastside (3-1) is going to Istanbul to meet no. 1 seed Fenerbahce (2-2). In first game at Berlin the host team won 3:2 after 0:2. Now it`s coach Irina PALINA believes that his side is able to secure semis on hottest soil in the competition:

“Before we start to play group Istanbul was a favorite now everything is possible in our group. We go to Istanbul with full team and we hope that we can book place for semi final already on Saturday”.

After 3:1 home loss from Berlin Austrian SVS STROCK (2-2 score) managed to survive against Fenerbahce (3:2 0:2) playing at Schwechat so now Martin SOROS` team expects Metzm(1-3)  in good mood. On the other side French club wants to confirm that its win against Berlin is not matter of coincidence.

Defending champion Linz had good preparation for its game in Group B against Zamek informed us Froschberg`s Robert RENNER. LIU Jia & Company are practicing on the highest possible standard. Players like MA Liang ZHAN Jiang from Singapore Alexandra PRIVALOVA Zsolt PETÖ Lucijan MUNTEANU Antonin SCHWARZER and Lehel DEMETER preparing together with Linz`s women team which is actual public elected “Team of the Year” of the upper Austria before Ice Hockey and Football Champions. Before their game coach BIAN Yadong and his girls will support Walter Wels against Werder Bremen in Round 4 of Men`s ECL.

“It will be again very hard against the Polish team” says Linz`s LIU Jia who has both WECL titles of that club (2009 2013). “We will try to prevent two victories of HAN Ying and if we do so we can win again. Of course we are already tired because of the very long season but we are looking forward to a nice Christmas holiday time together with the Family “Renner” in the Austrian mountains. That is our silver lining and it is our goal to give the Club the present it deserves – to be No. 1 again.”

LIU Jia`s team mate Iveta VACENOVSKA speaks about team`s and her individual goals: “I want to be on the first place in the group and complete this ECL season with zero defeats in single. I`m fit and full recovered from a physical fatigue and we will make a big show for our loyal and responsive audience. The training group including the very strong men is sometimes challenging but that makes us so strong in the match against women”.

Linz president Günther RENNER is sure that his side will continue its winning streak: “We want to make a good Show on Saturday. Politicians the press company representatives and VIP`s from the whole range of the society will be in Linz so we want to have a strong fight and a thrilling match again.”

Tyumen and Budaorsi are playing to avoid last spot of Group B. Russian team was better (3:2) in their first clash when Ruta PASKAUSKIENE brought two points.
