06/03/2011 – Estonian national Championships were held this weekend in Tallinn. Main favorites for men singles were Aleksandr SMIRNOV and Vallot VAINULA. Aleksandr SMIRNOV has won championships all together 6 times within last 4 years consecutively. Vallot VAINULA had 4 wins from past.

Today Vallot VAINLA won back his “long lost” position succeeded in close duel against Aleksandr SMIRNOV 4:3 (5;-2;8;-8;-5;8;9).

Final positions for men’s singles: 1. Vallot VAINULA (WR 399); 2. Aleksandr SMIRNOV (WR 401); 3-4. Sergei MANTUROV (WR 615) Vladimir PETROV (ESTR 13).

Women’s singles offered the same tension up to the end. Tatjana TSISTJAKOVA beat her main rival – Karin LINDMAE 4:2 (-8;6;-8;7;5;9)and after that she become 9th times Estonain champion for women’s singles. Karin LINDMAE held this position once before.

Final positions for women’s singles:1. Tatjana TSISTJAKOVA (WR 306); 2. Karin LINDMAE (WR 419); 3-4. Katlin LATT (WR 541) Diana ROGUSHINA (ESTR 3)
