ASD Quattro Mori Cagliari clinched the title in the Europe Cup

ASD Quattro Mori Cagliari has clinched the title in the Europe Cup after defeating Hungary’s SH ITB Budaörsi Sport Club in the final. The Italian team emerged victorious in both legs with a 3-2 win in the first match and a 3-0 win in the second match which was played in Hungary.

“We approached every match with the same level of focus and intensity as we did in the first leg but this time we were even better ” said Andreea DRAGOMAN. “We are ecstatic to have made history for our team and we have no words to describe this feeling. My victory in the first match gave my clubmates more confidence for the proceedings especially considering POTA is Budaörsi’s best player.”

This marks the first title for the ASD Quattro Mori Cagliari club. “I am delighted to bring the first trophy to Cagliari. We have created new history for our club ” stated DRAGOMAN.

Tania PLAIAN ovrecame Helga DARI today.

“First of all I want to thanks to the Quattro Mori club for all the support they have give to me. I want also to congratulate the Budaorsi team for the second place they have done a good job. I am very proud of us we couldn’t play better than this the second leg of the final. I was very nervous before the match but when I started my match I forgot about everything and I was just focusing on what I have to and to win. I played perfect today so I am very proud of this final ” stated PLAIAN.

Quattro Mori President Mario GABBA said: “We have achieved a fantastic goal no Italian team had previously won this event. It is a great satisfaction for our club and also for the Federation. Last year we had already faced Budaörsi in the quarter-finals and beat them twice 3-1 but this win is more important because allowed us to raise the Cup. After reaching those semi-finals I believed that this season we could go to the end and the girls and Stefano were wonderful”.

Coach Stefano CURCIO explains : “I am very proud of all of them. In the international field it was a season over the top even in Champions League because we won at the home against Berlin Eastside the first in the European ranking. This Europe Cup is really a dream come true”.
