Leka Enea reinforced with MAK Tze Wing and Angela GARCIA

In the Group Stage of the Champions League Women Spanish host Leka Enea Irun GEWO will host Group B with Italy’s ASD Quattro Mori Cagliari and French Saint-Denis US 93 Tennis de Table.

Hosts reinforced their line with two new players for this season.

“This year Leka Enea has two new players MAK Tze Wing and Angela GARCIA. MAK is very strong player from Hong Kong whilst GARCIA is less experienced young Spanish player ” explained coach and player Ioana TECLA.

Angela GARCIA has a very busy summer so she does not need any extra preparations.

“Angela is in a good shape because she didn’t stop playing this summer she played the European Youth Championships as junior and in August she also played the European Champions Munich 2022. The other players didn’t have competition this summer so it will be a little difficult. However I hope they will ready for the Champions League.”

French and Italian sides are very strong with lot of European experience.

“We are in a hard group with strong teams with players that have great results in Europe. We are not the favorites in this group for sure but we will fight and we will see what will happen at the end of the stage. Our goal in this competition is to try to pass at the next round but we know that is a difficult job. Our goal in the national league is to reach the top four places at the end of the season but we will see how things will be at the end.”

In Group A will play Czech host TT Moravsky Krumlov French ALCL TT Grand-Quevilly and Spain’s Girbau-Vic TT. In Group C are Spanish host Tecnigen Linares Austria’s SCO Ossiachersee Bodensdorf Greek Panathinaikos A.C. and Hungarian SH-ITB Budaörsi Sport Club. In group D play host in Serbia Novi Sad Reus Ganxets MIRÓ from Spain and Austria’s TTC NanoTech Villach.
