Etival Clairefontaine ASRTT faces Linz for a first time in Champions league

On January 16th Etival Clairefontaine ASRTT will travel to Austria to meet Linz AG Froschberg in the opening leg of the TAMANNEFTEGAS Champions League Women . SHAO Jieni Hana MATELOVA and Marie MIGOT await the duel in full strength and well prepared.

“Players had a very full month of December with the French league with the strong four matches in 14 days. They are healthy and they were able to give their best during this first part of the season ” said coach Jerome HUMBERT.

The club is doing fine in national championships.

“Team is currently at the top of the standings in the Pro A. Players had a good beginning of championship. We are therefore satisfied with the current results but season will be very long and there is yet a lot to play.”

Etival Clairefontaine ASRTT does not have a long history in Champions League.

“This is only the second time of our history that we have been in the Champion’s League for our club. In addition we have never played against Linz. This will be a very big challenge for our team. They have a top class players very high quality team and long experience of play at this level of competition. We will give the best in forthcoming two matches against Austria’s adversaries. We hope that our spectators will be able to come to Etival to watch the second match on January 21.”
