Liam PITCHFORD brings higher expectations to Roskilde

Table Tennis Champions League Men Round 4

 

French club GV Hennebont TT beat Sporting 3:0 on home soil in the TTCLM Round 4 and overtook Portugal’s side in Group D in the battle for the second place and quarter-final spot. Eight days ago in Lisbon host team won 3:1 thanks to Quadri ARUNA but this time he was beaten by FAN Sheng Peng in maybe crucial clash for the final outcome.

 

Cedric NUYTINCK prevailed against Diogo CARVALHO in straight games of the opener while Samuel WALKER defeated GUILHERME Paulo in four games of the third encounter.

 

Danish team Roskilde Bordtennis BTK61 beat away Ostrava 2016 3:0 increasing significantly its chances for the quarter-finals. It was super fast win as all matches were closed in straight games: ZHAI Yujia vs. Ondrej BAJAGER Liam PITCHFORD vs. Felipe OLIVARES Michael MAZE vs. Tomas KOLDAS. It’s so obvious that Roskilde is a different team with current world no.18 PITCHFORD who was absent in the first two rounds.
