Saarbrucken wins by a narrow margin

TTCLM quarter-final first leg: Ochsenhausen – Saarbrucken 2:3

 

Saarbrucken beat Ochsenhausen 3:2 in the first leg of TTCLM quarter-finals but defeated team provided satisfactory set-ratio in their favor (10:9). So it`s clear that both sides must play for win in the returning leg scheduled for February 9th.

 

Jakub DYJAS was just one point far to secure win for host side in the fifth match. He had 10:9 in the fourth set against Bojan TOKIC but Slovenian player responded by three points in a row to provide fifth set. Guest continued with more self-confidence leading 7:3 in the decisive game. DYJAS refused to give up taking three points in a row (6:7) but from that moment TOKIC won all points in the rest of the game.

 

Ochsenhausen`s Hugo CALDERANO actual world. no. 17 won both his matches in straight games against Tiago APOLONIA and Patrick FRANZISKA who overcame Joao GERLANDO in the second clash. Patrick BAUM lost to Yuto MURAMATSU three weeks ago when two clubs met in the German Cup semi-final (Saarbrucken won 3:1) but tonight he beat Japanese in five sets.
