European young elite on duty in Tours

Few days after the end of the TMS European Championships the focus shifts from top seniors to young generations. From Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th October French Tours will stage the 2014 Europe Youth Top-10.

In Junior Boys Event winner of the Boys Singles Event in Italy earlier this year at the European Youth Championships lead the elite. Alexandre CASSIN of France topping the list of the young starts in front of home crowd. David REITSPEIS of Czech Republic occupies position no. two followed by Tomislav PUCAR of Croatia. Diogo CHEN member of golden team of Portugal just fresh from the European Championships also will participate as a seed no. 4. Bronze medalist from Italy Anton KALLBERG of Sweden is at position no. five. The list goes on with Patryk ZATOWKA of Poland Killian ORT of Germany Filip ZELJKO of Croatia Nandor ECSEKI of Hungary and Can AKKUZU of France.

In Junior Girls Event host nation has top seeded player once again. Laura PFEFER is at the top of the list followed by Bernadett BALINT of Romania and gold medal winner in Italy Chantal MANTZ of Germany. Lea RAKOVAC of Croatia Ekaterina GUSEVA and Maria MALANINA of Russia Natalia BAJOR of Poland WAN Yuan of Germany Pauline CHASSELIN and Audrey ZARIF of France are also on the list.

Silver medalists from EYC Artur ABUSEV of Russia is the top seed in Cadet Boys Event whilst gold medalist Rares SIPOS of Romania is at the position no. two. The list goes on with Gerrit ENGEMANN of Germany Andrei PUTUNTICA of Moldova Cristian PLETEA of Romania Denis IVONIN of Russia Nolan GIVONE Irvin BERTRAND of France Andreas DILLING of Denmark and Tom JARVIS of England.

The most successful player at the European Youth Championships this summer in Italy Romania’s Adina DIACONU will be on duty in Tours. She had clinched gold in Team’s Event Singles Doubles with Belgium’s Lisa LUNG and Mixed Doubles with Cristian PLETEA. DIACONU is top seeded in Cadet Girls Event and she will be challenged by Lisa LUNG of Belgium Maria TAYLAKOVA of Russia Izabela LUPULESKU of Serbia Daria TRIGOLOS of Belarus Andreea DRAGOMAN of Romania ZHANG Xuan of Spain Lucie GAUTHIER of France Sabina SURJAN of Serbia and Anastasia KOLISH of Russia. Adina is the only last year’s winner in Top 10 in Terni who is on duty again.
