Both French representatives in Men’s ETTU Cup semi final had a bad day. Vaillante Angers lost against Eslovs AL in Sweden whilst Stella Sport La Romagne suffered defeat at the home soil against Olimpia Unia Grudziadz from Poland.

In Sweden Eslovs AL beat Vaillante Angers in the thrilling four matches duel. That gave them advantage but they are far from safe ground before their trip to France next month. XU Hui succeeded in straight games against Jon PERSSON. However last two games were very close. Jens LUNDQVIST leveled the game in the duel against Robert SVENSSON but he could not repeat the success against XU Hui in the fourth match. Jens stretched XU to full distance he had 2:0 lead before host club’s player recovered to seal the match.

Polish Olimpia Unia Grudziadz made great advantage for the second leg. CHEN Tian Yuan opened the duel victoriously but after that it was all about the guests. Kaii YOSHIDA was the back bone of the club’s success with two victories against Adbel Kader SALIFOU and CHEN Tian Yuan.
