Switzerland: 11th title in a row for Rio-Star Muttenz

In Nationalliga A new champion beat Meyrin 6:3 and 6:1

In the men’s Nationalliga A Rio-Star Muttenz clinched the title again. 19-year old Elia SCHMID and his teammates HU Jiashun and YANG Chengbowen managed to beat Meyrin in the play-off-finals 6:3 and 6:1.

The former english international Andrew RUSHTON and his compatriot David MEADS (in doubles) recorded the only victories for Meyrin.

The fourth player for Rio-Star was Dominic SCHAUFELBERGER being sucessfully on duty during the the regular season. Next season the club from Basel will continue its „youth development work“ since the promising talent Filip KARIN joined the champion..
