Double celebration for Lisa LUNG in Belgium

Belgian National Championships

 

Lisa LUNG won two gold medals at the Belgian National Championships which gathered a record number of participants with 39 Men’s Singles players and 30 Women’s players.

 

Cedrid NUYTINCK managed to defend his Men’s Singles crown as he overcame Florent LAMBIET in five games. Lisa LUNG lost the opening game against Daria MITYUKOVA but responded by four sets in a row to secure main prize. MUTYUKOVA upset in the semi-finals last year’s winner Margo DEFRAEF.

 

Surprise winners in the Mixed Doubles are Louis LAFFINEUR and Lauranne HACKEMACK who overcame Laurens DEVOS and Margo DEGRAEF 3:2 ( -8 10 -6 7 14).

 

Winners in Women’s Doubles are Lisa LUNG and Margo DEGRAEF who overcame Natacha KOSZULAP and Estelle DUVIVIER 3:1 (9 -6 4 9). Men’s Doubles champions are Florent LAMBIET and Martin ALLEGRO who prevailed against Olav KOSOLOSKY and Adrien RASSENFOSSE 3:1 (-8 7 12 7).

 

Wheelchairs Masters debuted at the Belgian Championships and first winner was Bart BRANDS who beat Dimitri GHION.
