Kornelija RILISKYTE and Alfredas UDRA – 2022 Lithuanian Champions

On 26-27th of March the Lithuanian Table Tennis Championship was held at the Druskininkai city Lithuanian Sports Center with the participation of 32 women and 32 men. New title holders are Kornelija RILISKYTE and Alfredas UDRA.

In the women’s semi-final Emilija RILIŠKYTĖ (coach Jolanta PRŪSIENĖ SM “Sostinės Tauras”) beat Egle JANKAUSKIENĖ (coach Artūras Orlovas Vilnius) 4:2. In the other semi-final Kornelija RILIŠKYTĖ fought with Laura ABARAVIČIŪTĖ 4:0. Both athletes are the players of coach Jolanta PRŪSIENĖ representing the sports school “Sostinės Tauras”. Emilija RILIŠKYTĖ and Laura ABARAVIČIŪTĖ were awarded bronze medals. Kornelija RILIŠKYTĖ won the final 4:1.

In the men’s semi-finals Alfredas UDRA (coach Indra UDRIENĖ Klaipėda) overcame Ignas NAVICKAS (coach Inga NAVICKIENĖ Kaunas) and Kęstutis ŽEIMYS (coach Viktoras RYBAKAS) met Tomas MIKUTIS (coach Ona JUCEVIČIŪTĖ Klaipėda). Alfredas UDRA defeated his opponent 4:1 and Tomas MIKUTIS defeated Kęstutis ŽEIMYS 4:1. Ignas NAVICKAS and Kęstutis ŽEIMYS were awarded bronze medals. Alfredas Udra won the title of Lithuanian champion in the final defeating Tomas MIKUTIS 4:0.

There were 15 pairs in the women’s doubles match. Third place went to Auksė Gecevičiūtė with Gerda ŠIŠANOVAITĖ and Laura ABARAVIČIŪTĖ with Marija MIKALAUSKYTE. Vitalija VENCKUTĖ (coach Viktoras STANKEVIČIUS) with Egle JANKAUSKIENĖ met Emilija RILIŠKYTĖ with Kornelija RILIŠKYTĖ in the final. Emilija and Kornelija RILIŠKYTĖ became the women’s doubles champions.

There were also 15 pairs in the men’s doubles match. Third place is shared by Ignas NAVICKAS (coach Inga NAVICKIENĖ) with Kęstutis ŽEIMIS and Andrius PREIDŽIUS (coach Rytis VELIČKA) with Rimas LESIV. In the final Matas VILKAS (coach Jonas PIEKAUTAS) with Matas SKUČAS (coach Romualda GARKAUSKIENĖ) met Agnius KAČERAUSKAS and Lukas RIMKUS (coach of both athletes Artūras ORLOVAS). Matas VILKAS and Matas SKUTIS became the men’s doubles champions.

The winners of the mixed doubles became Matas SKUČAS and Emilija RILIŠKYTE who defeated Matas VILKAS and Kornelia RILIŠKYTE 3:0 in the final. Third place is shared by Rimas LESIV (coach Saulius BUREIKA) and Aukse GECEVIČIŪTĖ and Rokas KISIELIUS (coach Romas Stankevičius SM “Gaja”) and Lukrecija JUCHNAITĖ (coach Jolanta PRŪSIENĖ SM “Sostinės tauras”).
