World Mixed Double Olympic Qualification Event to be Held in Havirov

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) has officially launched the World Mixed Doubles Olympic Qualification event. Scheduled to take place from Thursday 11 April 2024 to Friday 12 April the tournament will be hosted and organized by the Czech Table Tennis Association under the auspices and authority of the ITTF.

The venue  is the National Training Center in Havirov Czechia.

Only four pairs will secure qualification for the Olympic Games.

“The Czech Table Tennis Association regularly organizes WTT Feeder and WTT Youth Contender tournaments and next year it will host the European Youth Championships. Therefore we are delighted to have earned the trust to organise such a prestigious event as the Olympic qualification in mixed doubles. I believe we have ample experience to provide the optimal conditions for the top pairs from around the world to compete for a spot in Paris 2024 ” said Nikolas ENDAL President of the Czech Table Tennis Association.

Entries for the event must be submitted online through the ITTF Online Entry System accessible here. The final entries system will be open from 12 February 2024 with the deadline for final entries set for 11 March 2024.

Five pairings have already secured their spots for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Here are the confirmed pairings and their qualification pathways:

  1. Nicholas LUM / Minhyung JEE (AUS / OCEANIA)

    • Qualification: Oceania Qualification Confirmed
  2. Omar ASSAR / Dina MESHREF (EGY / AFRICA)

    • Qualification: African Championships Confirmed
  3. Dang QIU/ Nina MITTELHAM (GER / EUROPE)

    • Qualification: European Games Confirmed
  4. Jorge CAMPOS / Daniela FONSECA CARRAZANA (CUB / AMERICAS)

    • Qualification: Pan American Games Confirmed
  5. Vitor ISHIY / Bruna TAKAHASHI (BRA / AMERICAS)

    • Qualification: Pan American Games Confirmed
